Please thank Geraldine O’ Neill for the excellent research undertaken by her on the McCulla family. All documents have been received and are being studied. Should more information be needed by the family I will get in touch with her. Well done!

I wish to thank Monica Hynes for her very personal support delivered with such care regarding my ancestry and my last living relative in Ireland, I extend my most sincere gratitude to Monica.   Her creative involvement honoring the Blackton family gravestone for past, present and future generations is incomparable.  So too was her keen orchestration of our most recent visit with Jack in ways I could never have imagined, truly beyond noteworthy, done thoughtfully without fanfare. Further, her support and direction continue as I address other concerns from abroad.  Monica not only does the job, she lives it as the best example of our Galway heritage as well as the needs of our descendents near and far.  What words could ever express my appreciation!

I wish to thank Caroline Flaherty for all her help and patience.   She has been a God send.  This research has helped me with my family roots and I also was able to find my ancestor's grave site in my home town!!.   I also found his death certificate in the local Irish church which was all made possible through your information.   Again my sincere and deepest thanks and have a blessed spring and summer!!

Dear Julie,
It is just so wonderful to finally see church baptismal records, I have nothing but thanks and admiration for you and your efforts. It's quite emotional for me really. My grandfather was quite young when his grandparents died, but he did remember Lawrie and Celia, as they were known locally. He told me of a short statured, white-bearded Irishman smoking a pipe seated in front of the fire with a large blanket wrapped around him. Ironically, for most of my childhood at least, and minus the pipe, that's the way I remember my own grandfather, who was also Laurence (Larry, or 'Pa' to me), like his own father too.  Having this information just ties my own sense of identity to Ireland that much more and I dearly look forward to the day I can visit Galway and tread in some of the footsteps of my ancestors - a journey now made that much more significant and easier, by you.
My kindest regards

Nick Comer

I wish to thank Caroline Flaherty for all her help. I have found her to be very well versed and informative and my experience with both the East Galway Family History Society and the Galway Family History Society West has been excellent.  Thank you again.

I wish to thank the staff at the Woodford Heritage Centre and in particular Monica Hynes for helping me to retrace my family roots. From a very limited amount of information Monica was able to find for me relatives I didn’t realise I had! I was always treated with courtesy and patience and now that I’m at the end of my search, in some ways I’m almost sorry my journey is completed. Thanks again.

Sincere thanks to Monica Hynes, Geraldine O'Neill and all the staff of the East Galway Family History Society in Woodford, for all their help in tracing my family roots in east Galway.  Well done on the additional records and improvements to their website.  It is a fantastic service and I would highly recommend it as the first port of call to anyone intending on tracing their family roots in east Galway.  Wishing them continued success in their endeavours.

Monica – Thanks to you and Geraldine for your hospitality and good advice during my visit to the Centre on Tuesday. The background history was a bonus, as it has given me a more rounded sense of Woodford’s shops, churches and town life in the mid 19th century. Your guidance on pursuing the best sources will help me to continue the next steps in the Noonan family research both in Ireland and in New York. With best wishes –

New York

Monica – Just a quick note to thank you for the report you prepared. You certainly went above and beyond what was expected. The detail you went into and what you found was most interesting. Thanks in particular for coming into Galway city to meet with my mother and I on those two occasions and for educating us on the capabilities of mobile scanning, the photos turned out great.  I will most definitely be recommending you to anyone I know looking to do a family history. Regards

I wish to thank the staff at the Woodford Heritage Centre for the wonderful work they did on my family tree, especially Moncia, Julie and Caroline.  They did a fantastic job and I am very pleased with the results, I did not expect so much detail.
